Recently I have become obsessed with carrying the lightest load possible while backpacking. This requires me to deeply consider every ounce that I carry, in the process revealing my priorities in bright clarity. I am willing to haul my comfy camp shoes, but not carry a bowl to eat from. Fancy powdered coffee drink - yes. Extra t-shirt - no. Although I laugh at myself for the attention I give to how much everything weighs, backpacking has been a primary source of inspiration for me this spring and summer and the lighter my load the further I can go to see more of this beautiful world we are so lucky to share! I am also excited to share some work below inspired by these trips (YES I have seen bears!). This year continues to yield opportunities to exhibit my work and I am thrilled to again have multiple real-life opening receptions to invite you to this summer. I hope you can enjoy some of these shows in person, but as always all of my work is also visible and for sale through my website. If work that interests you is affiliated with a gallery exhibit, I would love to make introductions to the gallery to help facilitate the sale. Thank you for being interested in my work and supporting me through continued sales and commissions. Happy summer! |
