Hello Beautiful! Hard to believe we are in July! I've always considered myself a summer girl and no one is happier to see the Sun out and about. July has brought along a healthy balance of sunshine and rain (with the Cancer and Piscine influences, what else could we expect?) and my garden has never looked better. I step outside to a welcoming symphony of croaks, trills and chirps, making me smile. I hope this newsletter finds you savouring all that summer has to offer. As always be kind to yourself. Thank you for all the love, feedback and support. |

NEW MOON IN CANCERJULY 9, 2021 @ 9:16 p.m. |

The 29.5 day Lunar Cycle always starts with the New Moon. She was bestowed the name 'Moon' as it was the way people on Earth measured the passing of months. Her name originates from two Latin words: metri which means ‘to measure’ and mensis, meaning ‘month’. The Sun brought the Summer Solstice (in this half of the hemisphere) when he transitioned from Gemini into Cancer on June 20th. The Moon now joins her brother at sixteen degrees Cancer, inspiring the creation of new beginnings, possibilities and transformations. Each of the twelve signs of the zodiac are categorized in a variety of ways: |

Working with the New Moon in Cancer |

“While in theory you can manifest your dreams anytime, anywhere, with the right intentions and commitment, doing your ‘manifesting work’in tune with the Moon supercharges your dreams.” |

We are all – personally and universally - feeling the shift in energy. Something is definitely in the air, and I can attest with my own feelings of restlessness and inability to focus. The Moon is Cancer’s ruling planet. Both are feminine and protective in nature. This is therefore a time to connect with both our inner mother and our inner child. Like all emotional evolution, we revisit, learn, and eventually evolve into the nurturing human beings. As our maturity grows so does our understanding of who we are. There is an underlying pull of nesting and nurturing, wanting to create the feeling of home and family. That does not necessarily refer to your immediate household – it encompasses anyone you care for – an employee, a neighbour, friend or the homeless person sitting on the park bench. This is a wonderful time to connect – invite someone over for a BBQ, a game night, or a walk in the park. Write, email, or call someone you have not spoken to for awhile. If you are interested in more ways to connect and maintain relationships, see the blog: February is for Friendships. The Cancer period is about taking a deep dive into your feelings while at the same time trying to navigate the unruly waters that is the state of our current world. Even though you may want to, you can’t drown your feelings. Best to unpack your emotions, dig down to the roots how you feel and why you feel that way. When the intensity of the feeling knocks the wind out of you, don’t run and hide. Instead, breath and lean into the disappointment, the sorrow, the overwhelm – whatever emotion you’ve buried deep inside. |

Until going direct in the fall, the big boys, Pluto, Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune continue to invite us to modify and restructure our lives. Retrograde means these planets return to follow a path they have previously traveled, taking you along for the ride. You find yourself revisiting past projects, experiences, and events. Add to that the watery influences of Sun and Moon in Cancer, and it promises to be an emotional and passionate ride at that. Especially as people discover more and more about things that were previously unclear or hidden. Let’s take a closer look at our old friend Saturn. Every year or so, Saturn goes Retrograde for approximately 4.5 months – that’s a quite a bit. It is not uncommon to be born during a time when Saturn is Retrograde. It takes 29 – 30 years for Saturn to orbit his zodiac spending a little less than 2.5 years in each sign. He entered Capricorn on January 24, 2020 and will remain there until April 2022. In Roman mythology, Saturn (Cronus in Greek) was the youngest of the Titans (children of Earth Mother Gaia and Uranus the Sky Father) who overthrew his father in his desire to rule the universe. He ate his children for fear that one day they would rise and do the same thing to him. However, Jupiter (Zeus) escaped, returning to Olympus and banning his father. |

ORACLE CARD For The New Moon In Cancer |
|
|
Surrender This Oracle brings the message to let go of the need to control - whether you have power over the situation or not. Allow this month's energy to work it's magical wonders on the child within. When were you told to stop playing, and take responsibility? As Saturn Retrograde forces us to turn inward to explore our internal structures, Surrender reminds us that the most constructive way forward is to stop forcing things into being. When you release control, you release resistance. This means unblocking the dam and allowing Cancer's intuitive waters to flow unrestrained. In doing so, great mysteries can unveil themselves. |
