Native Beetle Rearing
If you would like to raise native beetles,
we have found a local breeder who can provide the larva that grows well
on our composted mycelium substrate (composed of hardwood sawdust, oyster mycelium, grains and minerals).
It's a fascinating hobby and like Charles Darwin joked, God must've loved beetles because he made so many of them!
*Our substrate has been proven to
successfully host the larva of
Coleoptera, Dynastes and Lucanidae.
