NC Humanities annually selects one book for young readers and one book for adults that is either written by a NC author or prominently portrays stories of the state to be featured at the The Library of Congress #NationalBookFestival in Washington, D.C. The books and authors are then featured on the national Great Reads from Great Places reading list that is highlighted at the festival. The list is composed of diverse books and authors from across the nation to showcase the rich culture and heritage of our country.
Book selections will be announced later this year in addition to NC-based programs and opportunities to engage with the selections. Survey closes March 22, 2024. Thank you!
