We are pleased to announce the launch of our Masterpiece Study Series, a series of exclusive individual sessions brought to you by the Couture Pattern Museum. Our inaugural session is designed to be a journey through time, taking you back to 1957 to explore an haute couture gown from the house of Christian Dior. This particular gown is one of the last creations by Christian Dior himself before his untimely passing, making it a significant piece in fashion history.

During this 1-hour session, you will have the rare opportunity to closely examine the intricate hand stitches and exquisite construction of this landmark Dior design under guided instruction. With gloves provided (and required for wear), you will be guided to gain a deeper understanding of the craftsmanship that went into this extraordinary garment.

 

By examining this historical piece of haute couture, you will acquire invaluable insights into the art and craft of haute couture fashion design. You will learn about the techniques and materials used in haute couture, and gain a deeper appreciation for the skill and creativity that goes into creating these masterpieces.

🎬 Hollywood Tour - Hearst Castle Reminder

 

Join us for an exclusive private tour of Hearst Castle, focusing on its heritage and the legacy of Hearst Publications, Mrs. Randolph Hearst Jr., and fashion designer Charles James. This four-hour tour on October 6 provides a unique opportunity to explore areas of the estate typically closed to the public.

 

Led by experienced docents, the private tour will offer insights into the art, architecture, and history of this iconic California landmark. Guests will discover the connections between Hearst Castle, the Hearst publishing empire, the artistic relationship between Mrs. Randolph Hearst Jr., Charles James, and Couture Pattern Museum.

 

We have set the ticket price at $195 per person based on the minimum group size of 6 people and the costs associated with arranging a specially customized private tour. As a non-commerically driven organization, our ability to offer in-depth events tied to our exhibitions depends on the participation of our community. We aim to keep prices accessible while covering basic expenses.
