NH SBA Names REDC Microlender of the Year |

The SBA New Hampshire District Office recognized 2022 leading lenders in a ceremony in Concord on December 8th, and named REDC the Microlender of the Year. REDC Business Advisors Kerri Salls and Diane Lewis accepted the award for REDC at the ceremony. REDC offers Microloans to small New Hampshire businesses, ranging from $5,000 to $50,000. REDC President Laurel Adams stated, “We appreciate this honor and thank the NH SBA for their recognition. The highlight of our work is helping the dreams of small business owners happen. Our microloan program serves a lot of entrepreneurs of various industries and diverse backgrounds, and it is a vital part of New Hampshire’s lending ecosystem. We are so happy to be able to service small businesses with this program.” |

REDC Appoints Robbie Grady as New Board Director |

REDC is pleased to announce the appointment of Robbie Grady to its Board of Directors. The REDC Board and President Laurel Adams welcome Robbie as a new Director and look forward to having her expertise and voice within the organization. Robbie has worked with small business owners for over 20 years. She earned a BA from Wheaton College and a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Development from University of Central Texas. As an Air Force civilian, she spent nine years counseling military members or military spouses and developed a pilot program for the Department of Defense that would help members or spouses with small business ownership. Robbie was the first executive director of the Goffstown Main Street Program, a downtown revitalization non-profit. She has spent time consulting with other communities and served as the interim director of the Laconia Main Street Program as well. Robbie retired from full-time employment in 2014, but she remained active as a volunteer with SCORE developing a series of workshops for small business owners and providing mentoring to clients in a wide range of industries. Robbie is looking forward to learning more about the work of REDC and continuing to use her skills to support local businesses. She stated, "As someone who has worked with many small businesses owners who have often struggled with finding the financing they need to bring their businesses to the next level, I have long admired the work of the team at REDC. I know the difference they have made in the communities they serve by combining lending and technical assistance. I am excited to be part of this team!" REDC would like to highlight the generous support of Anthem Glass & Mirror, who purchased $2,000 in REDC tax credits; Merrimack County Savings Bank, who purchased $50,000 in REDC tax credits; and Eastern Bank, who purchased $25,000 in REDC tax credits. This tremendous support will aid the NH New Americans Loan Fund, a fund that assists business development and job creation for new Americans (first generation immigrants) in New Hampshire.
