"Activists need to be optimists. If you are a pessimist, become a journalist." - Satish Kumar - One of our biggest takeaways this month has been allowing ourselves to feel the inspiration that arises from seeing and hearing from so many others who are also committed to rewriting our story on planet Earth. Being out in the world, connecting with people and land, has been a beautiful reminder of just how much is happening every single day! Focusing on the power of humans to be collaborative, creative and stubbornly optimistic, even through challenging times, is a commitment every single one of us who believe in the future can take.
This month we will share with you some highlights of what's coming up in July, alongside some inspiring stories and opportunities to engage. We hope these little drops in the ocean renew your joy and gratitude for being part of this beautiful story called life on planet Earth. |

🍄 Advaya Bursaries Available 🍄 Upcoming Myth & Mycelium Course |
We are excited to announce our partnership with Advaya in the upcoming Myth & Mycelium Course, in which we will be offering bursaries to selected applicants that are seeking financial support. What if hidden beneath contemporary narratives of progress and domination there was a mythic root system of earth-based wisdom? Just as fungi teach plants how to root into the soil, myths teach us how to root into relation with our biological and social ecosystem. In this course, Sophie Strand proposes that rescuing our relationship with myths can be a powerful tool to understand more-than-human time scales, helping us endure and deal with our contemporary struggles. If you feel this course resonates with you and are seeking financial support, fill out the bursary form through the link below and Advaya will reach out with more information. |

Welcoming 'Aura Valley':Aura's new circle in Stellenbosch, ZA! |
The second Aura women’s circle was born in spring this year: welcome Aura Valley! 💛 Emerging in the Dwarsrivier Valley, Stellenbosch, our adored Aura Programme has a new cohort of ten single mothers, on a journey for healing and resilience within women. Our circle ranges from unemployed to creche worker, from part-time cleaner to office co-ordinator. As part of Aura Methodology, all fellows are now working in group mentorships, one to one coaching, deep body work and connection with self, others and nature. Aura Valley Midwife, Ayanda Nyoka, shares her experience of the first circle and how it reminded her of a warm and delightful feeling of kinship that she felt as a little girl. |
