July virtual meeting features talk on "Race, Religion and Reconciliation"

 

Due to the continued rise in COVID-19 cases in Williamson and Davidson counties, NCBWL will host a virtual meeting on Wednesday, July 15 via Zoom. Paige Courtney Barnes -- an educator, writer and public speaker in Nashville -- will share with us her unique perspective, as a black Catholic in the south, to foster dialogue, education and fellowship in her talk: “Race, Religion and Reconciliation in America.” Please join us via Zoom.

Updates on Future Events

THE BUSINESS NETWORKING EXPO IS CANCELED 

We will not be holding our Business Networking Expo this year because events of such size are not being allowed in the city. We look forward to organizing and holding an Expo event in 2021.

JULY SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT MOVED: Our July Spiritual Enrichment has been moved to August 30 with Mass at St. Philip Catholic Church followed by a brown bag lunch at Pinkerton Park in Franklin.

AUGUST 19 OPEN HOUSE PENDING: Our Open House, normally held in May, is tentatively planned as an outside event at the home of Teri Gordon, 533 Solomon Drive, Franklin, TN.  However, due to the rapidly changing nature of the COVID-19 situation, we are holding off on confirming this event. 

CATHOLIC WOMEN OF FAITH CONFERENCE CANCELED: This conference planned for Aug. 22 at St. Philip Catholic Church in Franklin has been canceled.

SEPTEMBER PEARLS OF WISDOM PENDING: We are still working on plans for the Pearls of Wisdom and evaluating the responses to the survey sent to members. More information will be coming soon about how the event will change this year.

OCTOBER: Meeting to be announced

NOVEMBER 1: 70th Anniversary Celebration and All Saints Day Mass at Hermitage Hotel.  More information to follow.

DECEMBER: Christmas Party, date to be determined.

ANNUAL DUES 

The annual membership dues of $55 are now due. We realize may people are struggling with the current pandemic and its economic impact. We pray our members are all well. However, if you cannot afford to pay this year due to a loss of a job or other circumstances, or aren't comfortable attending meetings so do not want to pay dues, please reach out Kim Hoover to discuss options.
