Introducing
The Bloomshine Foundationhonoring the music and memory of
Ansel Evan Clayburn
“The only way to deal with death is to transform everything that precedes it into art."
— Arsène Wenger (posted to Evan's Instagram on 10/25/2016)
Ansel Evan Clayburn was a son, a brother, and a dear friend to many. His magnetic personality drew people together, his lust for life spread to those he touched, and his music continues to fill those who hear it with an inspired mosaic of melodies, rhythm, and poetry.
In honor of Evan, who passed away after a battle with cancer in May 2019 at the age of 35, the Clayburn family is pleased to announce the eponymous website, AnselEvanClayburn.com, for friends and music lovers to step into Evan's world and enjoy his artistry. We invite you to post pictures, memories, and reflections to the Stories page.
We have also established the Bloomshine Foundation, named for the song “Bloomshine” on Evan’s first album. The mission of the Bloomshine Foundation is to memorialize Evan through the release of his music on vinyl records, all proceeds from which will support charities that were meaningful to him, with the goal of expanding support for those organizations as the foundation grows into future charitable endeavors.
Every December in time for the holidays and Evan’s birthday on the 29th, the Bloomshine Foundation will release one of Evan’s seven albums, each as a limited run. For 2020, the inaugural vinyl release will be Evan's first album, The Space Cadet Shipwreck. We hope you will join us to both celebrate his memory and contribute to the foundation. We will be sending an update in the coming weeks.
Please help us by sharing this email and visiting AnselEvanClayburn.com.
