Did you know that NYSMTA has 11 local districts?  As a member of NYSMTA, you also belong to a local district depending upon where you live.  It is helpful to know who your district chair is, in case you have any questions or ideas regarding activities that you would like to see happening in your district or if you are interested in helping your district chair to make new activities possible in your area.  If you are not sure which district you are in, please look at the list below, which includes the name and email address of each district's chair:

NYSMTA has many activities going on.  If you don't see activities that interest you in your district, you might find activities in your neighboring districts in which you would like to participate. Yes, members of one district are allowed to participate in many activities (although not all) in another district.  Therefore you might want to check the NYSMTA website from time to time to find activities that are going on in other districts.  To locate District Events on NYSMTA, please go to nysmta.org , point on the "ABOUT" tab on the upper left side for the drop down menu, and select "DISTRICT EVENTS".  Or, you can simply click on the following link:

When you are not sure if a certain activity in another district is open to you, please contact the chairperson of that district.  We appreciate your continuous support of our organization and we hope you will take full advantage of what NYSMTA has to offer.
