Today I'll share a vital solution to the biggest challenge in augmented reality.

Using WebAR for product marketing campaigns often brings some challenges. The biggest of them is to bring a 3D model for the campaign. Most often an ideal replica of the product is often desirable as 3D.

Today's newsletter is about how to capture 3D models simply using your smartphone. Following is a list of apps you can use (available in both free and premium models), not listed as per order of effectiveness.

# Why to use them:

Building 3D models via software like Blender or Maya is often expensive. Even creating a real looking pair of shoes can cost around $200-$500 and that's even without great detailing included. But the magic of 3D models lies in the detailed realistic looks which means more investment for acquiring 3D models for your marketing.

Capturing real life objects as 3D model is often cheaper, takes less time and with a right tool - the hazards of post processing time and effort can be reduced manyfold.

# 11 apps to capture 3D from Smartphone:

1. In3D - Full body scan

2. Polycam - Object scan
3. Qlone - Object scan
4. Volograms - Human body scan
5. ARPlan 3D - Floor and room scan
6. Canvas - Floor and room scan
7. Capture 3D - Object scan
8. EM3D - Face scan
9. ARitize360 - Object scan
10.3D Scanner App - Need LIDAR enables phone
11.ItSeez3D - Only for iOS

Result:

Use cheap but quality 3D + Fast build WebAR campaign = Better growth in marketing and more user engagement

The 3D Mapping and 3D Modeling Market was valued at USD 13.49 billion in 2020 and is expected to register a CAGR of 20.9% over the forecast period 2021 to 2026. - source
