Mission MomentsCreating grant funding is only half the mission of Collective 365. We also want to give time and share resources. Although we are unable to provide grant funding for every applicant, we do work to match our grant applicants with members of Collective 365 who can provide them with capacity building support (i.e. grant writing, strategic planning, social media). We also share with our grant applicants, via email, various grant funding opportunities. Collective 365 understands that many of our grant applicants are unable to devote time to searching for funding because they are busy doing the work with and for Black & Brown communities. We are sharing examples that reflect the WHY of Collective 365: |

Sharing Information "I just wanted to thank you for sending this grant application from Everytown for Gun Safety our way. We just found out yesterday that we received one of their mini grants! Yay! I'm not sure we would have been aware of it if not for [Collective 365]..." --Alana Brown, Esq. | Founder & Executive Director, The Safe Sisters Circle |

|
Sharing Time + Talent "I've been working with AfriThrive on their development efforts. By reviewing grant proposals and giving special attention to the financial aspect, I am working with Dr. Truphena Choti to ensure AfriThrive can sustainably serve African immigrant and minority families." -- Lisa Hicks Collective 365 Board Member |

Capacity Building A Collective 365 member, Patrick Belcher, worked with one of our grant applicants, Amber Boyd of Boyd BHG Foundation, for about 8 hours this summer on a fall solicitation focused on $15,000. Together they wrote a campaign letter, created a sustainable giving plan, and gave some dollar handles to provide some giving guidance. |

Collective Giving, Collective Impact "When we learned about the Collective 365 grant, it was without question that we would apply so that we could acquire the resources necessary to pivot our approach and meet the needs of our girls. For the organization, this means that we can continue pushing forth and fill the gaps that COVID has presented. This funding communicates that even if we’re an underfunded organization, we can get people like the Collective 365 team to see the need and stand behind us and our mission. This is a vital asset to any organization and it helps me feel confident in securing funding without the red tape.” -- Deja Coley | Founder & Executive Director, Girls Like Me |
