I really won't mind if you drool

Restorative yoga is a restful practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. The body enters a state of relaxation and the mind also consciously relaxes as tension is released from both body and mind. If you take a restorative class, you may hardly move at all, doing just a few postures over the course of an hour.

You might even fall into a blissful sleep! Join me on Thursdays at 6pm to relax and restore.

What the Ojas?

Ojas is a super-fine essence in our body and it is the end product of perfect digestion. It is associated with desirable qualities such as strength, vitality, nourishment, steadiness, protection and regeneration.

When we multi-task, overwork, over exercise, don't get enough sleep, have a poor diet or live stressfully over a long period of time, the ojas depletes and makes us susceptible to fatigue and illnesses.

So, you take it easy Wonder Woman. Just keep calm and do Pranayam.

oh and cheers to your half full glass!

That's what He said!

Lord Shiva, the Hindu God, is considered as Adi Guru, the first teacher from whom the science of yoga originated. Shiva Samhita is a compiled text in Sanskrit as addressed by Lord Shiva to his consort Goddess Parvati. It discusses yoga, the importance of a guru to a student, various asanas, mudras and siddhis (powers) attainable with yoga and tantra. It also talks about the complex physiology and names of 84 different asanas, five specific types of prana, and provides techniques to regulate them.

Maha Shivaratri is a festival celebrated this month in honour of Lord Shiva. Join me on Zoom as we practice some of the 84 asanas.
