How has CrossFit Kalamazoo changed your life, lifestyle, and level of fitness? When I began CrossFit, I don’t think I could’ve run a mile and the On-Ramp classes killed me. My diet wasn’t great and I was at a pretty average level of fitness. Now I’d say my fitness has improved a ton and a mile doesn’t scare me. My diet is cleaned up and it’s really awesome seeing the results of slow, long-term lifestyle changes. I can’t imagine going back to before.
If someone asked you “What is CrossFit Kalamazoo” how would you answer?
CFK is a place that encourages you to be your best and helps you get there.
What advice would you give someone walking into CrossFit Kalamazoo for the first time?
Don’t be nervous and don’t feel like you have to impress anyone. Everyone at CFK is cheering you on!
What is your favorite CrossFit movement? Any bodyweight gymnastics movement (Handstands, pistol squats). Basically anything I can do with just my body.
What is your least favorite CrossFit movement? And why?
I loathe sumo deadlift high pulls and Sott’s presses. I’m terrible at them and they make me feel awkward every time I do them.
