Healing

Life doesn’t get easier, you just become stronger and more resilient.

This statement has helped me with my healing journey and how I define who I am today. When you frame your thought process on healing as becoming stronger rather than just surviving, you have the capacity to grow. Don’t get me wrong, if you are in the process of healing from something, there are moments when you just feel the need to survive, but you also have the opportunity to thrive. Everyone’s healing journey is different and everyone has the capacity to grow into a stronger person.

 

We have the capacity to heal through the way we think. We also have the ability to learn that it is okay to sit with your emotions. To feel deeply does not mean you are weak. To think and feel deeply means that you get to experience the beautiful part of being a human. When you are able to know your emotions on this level, you have the ability to tune into your thoughts and how they are creating your feelings.

 

When you feel that your journey has brought you to rock bottom, that just means you have solid ground for rebuilding. Instead of thinking you are at the lowest point in your life, you have the ability to think “this gives me the opportunity build myself into the strongest and most resilient version of myself!” When you listen to your thoughts and encourage yourself to use this healing journey as the ability to create a strong skillset for adversity in your life… you become powerful.

 

It is not an easy journey to heal through loss, but I promise you are worth it. Who I am today is someone I am proud to call strong and resilient because of the work I put into healing. Just know that adversity will continue to happen in life and if you learn to heal, you can become stronger the next time life happens.
