Dear Colleagues,
The CoFBAT team wishes you a successful 2023, with plenty of energy!
The year 2023 will be the last year of the CoFBAT project and will be interesting. 50 years ago, the first phone call using a mobile phone was made, which was the start of a revolution in technology. Let us see what CoFBAT will revolutionise 😊.
Energy storage for decentralised solutions is becoming more and more important to allow integration of renewable energy sources. In addition, due to the war in Ukraine, during the last year the efforts were focused on how to reduce reliance on other countries in terms of energy supply.
Renewables have emerged as one of the primary solutions to tackle this challenge. Battery storage is closely linked to the growth of photovoltaic, in the market for electric vehicles, charging stations, automatic guided vehicles and support to grid. In this framework the CoFBAT project provides a step forward in creating safe and cost-effective batteries. Our project has reached its 39th month entering in the validation phase of our cell concept and exploitation activities of technology. Within COFBAT we will hold our 2nd webinar to publish the latest advances in technology, materials and recycling (more information in this newsletter).
