SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS: CO-CHAIR NEEDED Trusting in God and the vaccines, we are expecting to have a full Spirit of Christmas celebration on Saturday, December 10, 2022 with NCPC again taking a major role along with the City of New Castle and the New Castle Historical Society. For 2022, we want to start early and in an orderly fashion to get our plans, houses, sales, refreshments, music and theater events, and Santas in line. We are looking for a special volunteer to serve as co-organizer with Steve Martin, who worked on it last year. Please consider if you would want to take a leadership role in this. It is a wonderful community service of the Church, and, for the organizers, it is a great way to learn more about the City. If you are interested, please speak to Pastor Miriam. If you want to know more about what may be involved, email Steve (martin@udel.edu) or call him at 302-354-4428. |

SYMPATHY - KARYN FRY The sympathy of the congregation surrounds the loved ones of Kay Fry, who died to this life at the age of 68, Tuesday, April 12, at home in Newark. Kay's service was held on Friday, April 29, in the Meeting House. Kay and her spouse, Nancy, have been members of NCPC since 2012, and Kay served as an Elder. Longtime partners, Kay and Nancy celebrated their marriage at NCPC on October 30, 2020. We give thanks that for Kay, suffering has passed and that she now rests in Christ's peace. May the Holy Spirit comfort us all in our need and in times of loss. |
