Remembering a Great American Hero MARIAN ANDERSON - The Lady From Philadelphia History Presentation

Remembering a Great American Hero MARIAN ANDERSON - The Lady From Philadelphia History Presentation

Join us as local author Joe Henwood give a wonder presentation about the most significant, celebrated Philadelphian of the 20th Century, Marian Anderson.  Those who mainly remember Marian Anderson as a great singer, are missing 90% of this iconic trailblazer's humanitarian contributions during the century she was with us. Most of the 23 biographies previously written about her overlooked many of her contributions, and today she is almost forgotten. Joe Henwood's goal of his book "Remembering a Great American Hero MARIAN ANDERSON - The Lady From Philadelphia," Marian's 24th biography, is to correct that.

The presentation will take place in auditorium at the Roosevelt Community Center, right next to the Library.
