It's back to school time and starting to feel like Fall. Here at SewGreen we have been getting ready for the Fall season as well. The selves have been arranged to highlight some fabrics you may want for those Fall and Winter Holiday projects. Of course we also have a variety of beautiful yarn, and other needle art supplies such as embroidery thread, knitting needles, and crochet needles. Best of all we are planning some October "Treats" for you! We have a brand new class in Long Arm Quilting, and we have a special event presented by "Experience Fiber Art". Both of these events are on the October calendar. Details about Experience Fiber Art event will be on our website soon. The October calendar is posted on our website. Winter Holiday Fabric Formal or whimsical, we have lots of patterns to choose from in our collection of Winter Holiday fabric, on the shelves now! It's never too early to start those winter holiday projects and gifts! What is Challis? Pronounced SCHA-lee, derived from the word "soft". Challis is a woven fabric with a nice flow and drape. It is great for loose fitting garments such as tops, dresses, and skirts, and even scarves and shawls. The weight of this fabric makes it great for all seasons. |

Below are two examples of clothing made with Challis. You can see how the fabric drapes and flows. Some of our Challis fabric is on special display at the shop. Stop in and feel the softness of this versatile fabric. We have many patterns to choose from! |
