Our Recommendation:
I chose this product and brand because it is organic, non-GMO, and pesticide-free. I have utilized fresh ginger root in culinary dishes and medicinally as a tea. The benefits I have appreciated with this food, or herb, as medicine are relief in gastrointestinal discomfort, improved digestion, a part of an anti-inflammatory regime, reduction in acid reflux, healing gut issues, easing joint pain as an anti-inflammatory, and soothing stomach upset. I highly recommend making fresh organic ginger a regular part of your diet and daily intake! ~ Josephine Sheppard, Natural Health Consultant
Ginger Root Tea Recipe:
Slice fresh organic ginger root (about 1/4 - 1/2 cup) and place on the stove with approximately 2-1/2 quarts of water. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to a low simmer. Cover and simmer for 1 to 2 hours, depending upon the desired strength wanted or needed. The longer it simmers, the more it becomes a concentration or elixir, which is my personal preference. Check it, stirring periodically. Turn it off and let it cool with the lid only slightly open, so the medicinal properties do not evaporate. Can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 weeks in a mason jar. This usually makes about 1-1/2 to 2-quarts.
