Wow, did we receive a lot of rain last week! The Oregonian reported that Portland is experiencing its wettest spring on record. And while the numbers show that Central Oregon is on track for an average amount of spring/early summer rainfall, it’s still a nice shift from the previous few years. Kyle Gorman, the Regional Manager for the Oregon Water Resources Department, says that the Deschutes Water Basin is still in a major drought and that we’re still on track for a “nasty” fire season. However, this rain did change the outlook for many local farmers—and one could say temporarily for cyclists too. In this Roundup, we have routine shop updates, information from our local trail alliances, exciting news about our newest bike brand, and an inspiring video to put you on your way. As always, thanks for being here! If you would like to opt out from receiving future writings, go to the bottom of this email and unsubscribe. |

The Tour De SiiHasin brings the community together as an act of cultural connection and healing. The program was started by only a handful of riders to address suicide prevention on the reservation and has evolved into a community-led act of strength, wellness and togetherness. They traverse challenging trails, riding 400 miles together through the sweltering July heat. That journey across the landscape takes you to places physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Places you might normally never go. Preparations are now underway for the 10th Annual Tour de SiiHasin, with months of route preparations, logistics, and community outreach. It is a ride like no other in the world, unique to the people and place that call it home. Click Here to Learn More |
