you gotstarted!

we've said it before, and we'll say it again: thank you.

A week ago today, you picked up your Start Kits and volunteered to tend them until they can be shared with others

in our community.

You are officially the first class of getstarted Starters—and you truly

are that: First Class.

what's next?

You’ve planted your broccoli, cilantro, and lettuce seeds, found a nice, appropriate window spot for them, been watering, and watching... You should now be seeing the delightful rewards: Promising green sprouts showing their lovely, little heads above soil!

Now's the fun part: 5-7 days after that first sprout popped up is time to move the kits to a sunny spot outdoors. But don't forget those hardworking wards-- keep an eye on them and keep them moist. Hot temperatures are upon us!

we’ll check in with you again in the next couple of weeks…

let's see those smiling faces!

Some of you have shared your planting pics on Instagram, tagging us @getstarted.garden— thanks for that (see, there it is again)!

Keep ‘em coming as the starts grow, and show us your proud, smiling faces along with them, too!

we can't do it without them...

and you!

getstarted is so grateful for our partnership with Petaluma Bounty.

Don’t forget to pick up their gorgeous produce Saturday afternoons from

2-5pm at the Walnut Park Farmer’s Market and Thursdays from 3-6pm at the Bounty Farm Stand. Find more info at www.petalumabounty.org/programs/bounty-farm/where-to-access-our-produce/

Continued thanks to Petaluma Seedbank and Swallowtail Garden Seed for the seed donation, Grab n’ Grow for providing the soil media, and Friedman's Home Supply for gardening supplies.
