Hello Friends & Family!
Are you as excited about the cooler weather about to be here as we are? Oh yeees! In the midst of all that heat though, God also brought us new opportunities to serve Him! Ken is loved so much at the local Alzheimer’s care center here that they have asked him to do more days of singing to the clients. Ken has been so moved at the joy that they have every time that he has been there. Some of them come up to him, with a gleam in their eyes, and ask him if he would PLEASE come back! It’s as if they had never seen him before. It is so very sweet and tender. He has been there for months, but it’s as if it were the first time for them, every time. They love the old songs and old hymns that Ken does so well…God love them… Of course, he’s agreed to come more!
We had the honor, with your giving, to help an elderly couple with housing for a month, who had lost their home to a fire. They were very much appreciative. Then they were able to get into another home after that. We are raising money now for our Christmas Blessing outreach for December. It all means so much to everyone who is a beneficiary of it! Thank you to all of our loyal supporters, either monthly or just one time. Every penny counts!
Our jail ministry is going well. We are getting more referrals to go into different jails to visit some of the inmates there who need support and encouragement to make some changes in their lives. Some listen, some don’t. We always have to remember that we are just SEED PLANTERS. God does the growth! We do have to admit though that it does get frustrating at times. But it is not up to us to save them. We just speak God’s word and truth into their lives, and if they are ready to receive it and believe it, then God will make sure to pull them in!
We are finishing up our study on Covenant AGAIN! The beauty of God’s word is that it is alive all the time, and each time you read and study something you have done many times, there is always room to grow and learn more. After this we will be studying the book of Jonah. It is a short study of a short book. However, it is a powerhouse of encouragement to stay the course… look to God…and obey Him. And GO to wherever He tells you to go! 😊
Our counseling this month has been busy and fruitful. From marriages, to inmates and mothers of inmates, and the broken and battered souls, we have had the honor of seeing God’s true grace and mercy work in the hearts of many. We are so very grateful that God keeps giving us these awesome opportunities to serve Him. It humbles us every day, and we thank you all for going along with us!
So, please take care of yourselves!
We love you much,
Ken and Cindy
P.S. Richard is doing well!
