April Showers Brought More Reading Power & May Will Shower Us With More Of The Same |
Like the saying goes, April Showers Bring May Flowers. ASA Books believes April Showers Brought More Reading Power. This month has been the perfect time to grab a book and escape to another place and time. Using time to read when it's raining proves to be very beneficial. According to an article by Willow Snug, "not only does rain put you in the mood to read, it gives you an excuse to do it without interruption." ASA Books hope you found time this month to dive into a good book. ...And over the next few weeks, which undoubtedly will bring more rain our way, instead of turning on the TV, or flipping through your phone, grab another book and get cozy in a wonderful story. |

**New Book Alert** Don't Run From The Sun Is Almost Ready To Shine Coming Summer 2022. |
Don’t Run From The Sun is a story, in rhyme, about a young boy and girl who are afraid to play in the sun because they fear their skin color will get darker if they do. This soft, yet powerful tale teaches the importance of being proud of your skin tone; whether light or dark, never letting the power of the sun stop you from having fun. The story lends a kind, yet strong message for kids of all backgrounds, but specifically children of color, who may get teased for being of a darker hue. It is an affirmation for kids of all colors, that being kissed by the sun is to be celebrated and not shaded. |
