We're excited to continue expanding our mix of produce with monster heads of broccoli this week. Let's hope the excessive heat this weekend doesn't put a kink in our plans.
And don't forget, you can place your pre-orders on our website starting every Thursday evening for pickup the following week at farmer's markets and on-farm. Deadline to place your orders is Sunday
The cherry trees and raspberry bushes are just starting to produce the first fruit of the season and of course Emiliano is out there every morning picking his breakfast

We're growing some monster broccoli and getting ready to harvest them today and tomorrow before the excessive heat kicks in.
Speaking of excessive heat, we're a bit worried about how the tomato and cucumber plants in the greenhouse will do this weekend. We briefly considered installing a shade cloth but the material won't get here in time so for now we're doing major prep work - watering, weeding, watering, and monitoring.
Have you ever considered weeding as therapy? Natalie has been spending her late evenings (once it's cooled down and the kids are in bed) hand-weeding a bed at a time. Here's the Walla Walla onions she just worked on last night. She says she finds it very therapeutic.
It's our first time growing watermelons. We're finding that they are probably getting too much shade from the neighboring tomatillo plants. With every planting there is a lesson learned.
Look at these beautiful clusters of heirloom tomatoes. These include a Purple Cherokee varietal and Yellow Sungold cherry tomato.
We're stoked our chickens finally started laying the most beautiful blue eggs this week. Once we have a steady pace of eggs, we'll be offering farm fresh eggs for pre-order.
We feel like we blinked and now we have cucumbers. We definitely need to start trellising this baby cucumbers this weekend (ya, in the heat).
