7 Tips for Managing Stress & Kicking Butt
- Give yourself a break. There's no wrong or right way to do anything given our world right now, so be easy on yourself and give yourself GRACE!
- Switch up your routine and/or space. If you're tired of doing the same thing over and over (and who isn't?), then switch up just one thing in your routine OR clear your desk off entirely and start from scratch.
- Find your energy sweet spot & hunker down around it. Know when you're best at certain activities (like high-level work that needs focus time) and create blocks to protect this time.
- Pick your 3 non-negotiable tasks. Also known as, "Eat your frogs first." (More on this below in this month's Takeaway Tool.)
- MOVE. YOUR. BODY. Set a timer so you get up and move once every hour. Keep it simple: an around-the-block walk, a quick 1-miler or just 20 squats and situps.
- Nature. There's nothing that will get your headspace cleared out faster than a quick hike or nature walk. Go with the green!
- Remember: What you water—grows. You get what you focus on. So be mindful, especially right now, on what you're focusing on because you'll get more of THAT!
