2024 goals

I've been doing a little research on Gen X (me) versus millennials for my next novel. I am SO Gen X. How hard can I work? What can I achieve? It's all about work hard/play hard, right?

I laughed out loud when I found this YouTube video from champagnecruz - he nailed it, at least for me.

I am, of course incredibly grateful that I'm retired now and my "work" is writing novels.

So, being Gen X I, of course, have already come up with my goals for 2024 (and the first one has to be completed by the end of 2023). Some things never change!

I'm excited about these goals. I plan on publishing at least three books next year, which means I need to write 1,000 words a day (I've already finished drafts on two of them).

My friend Jocelyn Lindsay (a fellow writer and book coach) and I are planning weekly YouTube shorts on indie publishing, which will be a fun addition.

I'm really looking forward to 2024. Are you? Have you set any goals for the new year? Which generation do you claim?

book recommendation

A friend of mine, Rebecca Taylor wrote this gripping thriller, Once Upon a Lie.
