I've made you a present and I want you to get it

I've spent the past fourteen years, out of the twenty of my teaching career, spelling Opera libretti syllable by syllable, for a few hundreds of you from all around the world.

In the patterns that started to be revealed to my mind through such work, I've found more musical knowledge I could have ever imagined or hoped for.

I've grown into knowing for a fact that there can be no real singing ("real" as opposite of "merely imitative"), no proper vocal technique, no comprehension of a lifelike character, without such work.

In the most recent years I've begun to endow my students with diction recordings of each piece or role they coached with me, for such simple mp3 files proved to reinforce their preparation, memory and self-confidence.

They also most definitely helped thousands of people in their audiences to get what it was that they were doing, saying or meaning, even whereas they could not understand it.

Understanding is not necessary, if you just get it.

And music is to be gotten, way more than understood.

I've built an archive with all those recordings, it took me two years.

An audio library of 40+ hours.

It is the first, the largest ever, and ever-growing (yesterday alone I have uploaded two new full roles, a dozen arias and a few ensembles).

It is available online and, due to a recent decision I've made, from now on, its whole content is entirely free.

This is how much I want you to get it.

For, once you'll get it, there won't be a way back and it will no longer feel like emptying the ocean with a teaspoon every time I coach you, syllable by syllable.

There will be a paradigm shift, at some point, I know that.

But you cannot really get it till you really do it, so I wanted you to never find an excuse again for not doing it.

I called it The Cantare Italiano ARKive, for an ark is what preserves immutable laws and the righteous creatures that respect them from dissipation (although I believe this I'm doing is more about innovation, than preservation).

I've made it with and for you, and I believe I've made the Opera community and the entire world an invaluable present:

please, please, please - get it.

Just click below, for the more you'll visit it, the more people will get to find it online.

I hope you will return with a simple click the insane amount of love I've put in there.

And I really hope you get it, such love.
