NGPC TAFT, CA

FEB 12-13

NGPC Round 2 FEB 12-13 Taft, CA. Great weekend for us finishing a podium in the pro 250 class. Justin Seeds finally opened the door to a podium. Trevor Stewart would ride hard to finish in 6th and Thomas Dunn would suffer a bad start causing him to play catch up and salvage a 6th place.

JUSTIN SEEDS

3RD

PRO 250

Justin Seeds has been pursuing a 250 effort and clearly it was the right decision. Its been fun to see him run upfront with some of the best. Finishing in 3rd after a late race pass, he put on a hard charge pressuring the rider in front of him to get the job done.

In his words:

"Well being excited is a understatement right now after put my Purvines racing Yamaha on the box today. I set a goal to finish in the top 5 but didn’t know I was a podium guy yet since I haven’t had Much time on the 250. Today marked the 5th race I’ve done on the 250 since 2007. Thank you to everyone that was pumped for me and to the whole Purvines team for believing in me. This is an amazing feeling and I can’t wait to get on the podium again. Now back to work to be ready for round 2 of Worcs racing this coming weekend."

TREVOR STEWART

5TH

 PRO

Trevor Stewart looked good all weekend. He struggled to get upfront early and run the pace of the top 5, but he was right there all race. He is healthy and ready to hit it hard at WORCS Glen Helen Round 2 this weekend.

In his words:

"Coming into the weekend I felt good and confident in my abilities, especially after my last round podium finish. I felt good Saturday, and was ready for sundays race. Off the start, I got a subpar jump and came out of the first turn in maybe 7th, but quickly made a few passes and got through to 5th. I followed Dante for 2 laps and was matching him until I started over riding the bike. I don’t know what happened. I flustered myself, started making huge mistakes with one that costed me big my swapping out at the top of the hill. I regrouped, but never truly recovered. P-6. It was ugly for me, but not every day is perfect. I’m having comfort problems in the races. My arms blow up like balloons and I feel under gunned. We will get em this weekend at Glen Helen. Thank you to all of our sponsors for your hard work."

THOMAS DUNN

6TH

PRO 250

Thomas didn't get the start he needed to get upfront early and spent the whole race playing catch up. He rode great trying to make up the time loss and finished with a 6th place.

In his words:

"Didn’t execute the start the way I wanted to and ended up 3rd from last around the first turn. The track was hard to pass and the dust and roost were pretty brutal. Ended up 6th looking forward to Glen Helen next weekend. Thank you to everyone behind the team and I. Looking forward to a great year!!"
