'360' Newsletter

Ramin Yazdanpanah, Ph.D. | March 25, 2024

A resource for students and teachers, a quote to inspire, and a question to ponder. It really is the little things we do consistently that lead to great outcomes.

Wow, the last two weeks have been a whirlwind of a time!

I attended the COABE National Conference in Nashville, Tennessee and the TESOL International Convention in Tampa, Florida. They were wonderful opportunities to learn, share, and grow. At COABE, I presented with my dynamic and supportive colleague June Rall, director of Florida IPDAE. At TESOL I presented solo but had the loving support of my amazing and beautiful wife. Some people have all the luck!

I'm looking forward to staying connected and collaborating with the passionate teachers, administrators, and publishers I had the pleasure of meeting. As promised to all who attended my presentations, I am providing access to my slides. Feel free to use and share them with others. All I ask is you let me know how they serve you and your community.

Meeting Teachers Where They Are

As you can see from the video below, the audience was electric! The clip shows educators from around the world sharing who they are and what they aspire to be as a first step toward personal and professional growth.

Applying Mindfulness

The definition below provides the key elements of mindfulness: on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgment. My presentation "Applying Mindfulness for Learning, Teaching, and Well-being" provides a research-based rationale and road map for mindful learning and teaching. Click here to access the slides.

Question

Who do you aspire to become and what are you doing to become it?

Until next week,

Ramin aka "Dr. Yaz"

p.s. I also had a great time playing music with my fellow didge dude Jared Bistrong in Miami, Florida (see image below), as well as my band of brothers, the Maharajah Flamenco Trio. Thanks to all who attended, hosted, and appreciated!

If you find value in any of this week's resources, please subscribe and forward this newsletter to someone who may benefit. Thank you!
