Sustainable Living Fabrics is so excited to share the news of our good environmental choice (GECA) recertification. We could not be more proud to continue our long standing relationship with this amazing organisation.
Maintaining our GECA certification is vital to ensuring transparency and helping us stay accountable for our sustainability. The third party auditing process allows us to be in complete alignment with our values and gives us a deeper understanding of our supply chain and how we can improve each year.
For those of you that are not familiar with GECA, they are a not for profit that provides solutions for sustainable consumption and production through voluntary certification. The GECA Scheme follows and aligns with global best practice through their Global Ecolabelling Network membership.
The standard is developed in accordance with ISO 14024 and considers impacts over the life cycle of textile products, including material sourcing, manufacture, packaging and use. To achieve certification we must show compliance with International Labour Organisation (ILO) Conventions for no forced labour or exploitation, have safe working conditions, ethical farming practices, fair pay and equal opportunities. The standard also places limits, restrictions and bans on certain dyes and additives to ensure the protection of our natural environment.
Our entire product line is certified to GECA's Textiles and Leather (TLv3.0i-2014) standard. So no matter which range of ours you select, you can trust it is a sustainable choice.

Our fabrics meet the environmental, health and social performance criteria of GECA Standard No Tlv3.0-2014 Textiles and Leather, a Type I environmental labelling programme for overall environmental preferability, developed by GECA in accordance with ISO14024 on a product lifecycle basis.
GECA Certified Furniture Fittings and Foam upholstered with GECA Licenced fabrics are recognised in the Green Building Council of Australia’s GREEN STAR sustainability rating program as Level A.
