March Field Studies 

Owl Fest @ Tryon Creek Park 

Saturday March 9th

Our Portland Town Field Studies will take us over the river to

 Tryon Creek State Park fer Owl Fest. Transportation provided.

Logistics

We'll rendezvous at 10:30 am at playschool fer drop off and return by 3pm for pick up.

Cost is $30-$50 sliding scale for non enrolled families, and $20-$40 sliding scale fer families enrolled in our playschool at least 1 day a week.

Spring Equinox Break

Drop in Play Advance Purchase Deal 

Thanks to y'all's suggestions, I'm offering up a deal on drop in play fer folks who'd like to utilize this service on a semi frequent basis, and purchase multiple drop in play sessions at a time. Purchased one at a time on a case by case basis, a drop in play session with us is $50/day. However, if it makes sense fer yer family, I'm offering up 5 full day sessions of drop in play fer $175. You decide when you use yer days, and they never expire.

Just give me at least 24hr advance scheduling. That's it.

The Moon's Nest School of Magic, Mischief, n' Mystery

Y'all have been catchin' me drop hints and mentions of this very dear to my heart project, and elude to what be brewin' up in the cauldron fer the families of the Moon's Nest. While I'm still a'werkin' on the website and various admin tasks, I can tell ya this project is the culmination of nearly 15 years of my life's learning and practices. The Moon's Nest School of Magic, Mischief n' Mystery will give me the opportunity to grow with our playschool kiddos as their capacity fer taking in more complex knowledge expands. I'll be weaving together my background in Ancestral Skills and Traditional Craft, Witchcraft, Social Forestry, social justice and activism, and organizing small scale gatherings. As I spend the next few seasons transitioning to more of an administrative role with the Moon's Nest Playschool, I am so looking forward to dedicating more of my skills and time to developing and offering family centered workshops, classes, seasonal gatherings, and campouts that will nurture our witchlets and their families as they grow beyond their early childhood years. My commitment to our families and providing opportunities for developing a world view grounded in the sacred only grows as our relationships deepen, and I cannot wait to keep on livin' this life with all of you. Look fer more to be revealed from the cauldron after the Equinox, when the last of this year's Winter's dreams have been dreamt. Phlox & Flame

A Spring Time Gathering of Witches and Witchlets  

Oh wow.

I am SO very excited to invite you to the first annual,

Phlox & Flame.

In addition to being the inaugural year of this annual family witch camp, Phlox & Flame is also the very first offering of the Moon's Nest School of Magic, Mischief, n' Mystery, which makes this gathering extra potent, fertile, and magical.

In this camp, we'll be welcoming our witchlets into a long lineage of ancestors of path who, despite all the efforts of supression and erasure, preserved our practices and traditions of gathering and ritualizing with the seasons. 

 From April 18~20 we will gather in honor of the land spirits, Grandmother Ocean, birth n' fertility, the growing light, and in honor of the Spring Bloom. We'll make fire, cast spells, work with the Elements of Magic, practice craft, color eggs, prepare feasts, and share stories that will carry us through the Spring Equinox to Summer Solstice tide. 

This is a witchlet centered camp, and is open to families of the

Moon's Nest Playschool and beyond.

Logistics and Details

Fer this first year, we are offering camp residency fer just our witchlets. Fer next year's camp, we hope to be able to secure a venue large enough to accommodate our witchlets,  and their family members. Parents are invited (tho not required) to join us fer our opening circle, as well as our closing circle. 

There are a total of 10 residency spots available fer witchlets who are able to spend the duration of camp away from their primary caregivers. 

Fer kiddos who would prefer to join us fer just the day, we are offering a day camp option on April 19th from 9:30 am~ 5:30pm.

April 18

Arrival & Check in : 5:30 pm 

Opening Circle & Ritual : 6:15 pm

Evenings crafts, board games/ free play/ story time : 8 pm-10 pm

Monetary Exchange 

Residential Campers

(full camp attendance from April 18 @5:30 pm~April 20@10:30 am)

Registration fer our residential campers is sliding scale $150-$350 per witchlet. 

Registration and payment includes camp lodging, camp itinerary, and all meals.

**We can provide safe passage and transportation to camp fer a limited number of resident campers. A total of 4 transport spots are available as an add on to camp registration fer an additional fee of $35.  

Rendezvous fer camp departure at the Moon's Nest Playschool on April 18 @ 1:00 pm. 

Please do be aware that we are unable to provide return transportation post camp so please do plan fer yer witchlet's safe passage home accordingly.

Day Campers

(April 19 9:30 am~5:30 pm only)

Registration fer our day campers is sliding scale $50-$150

Registration and payment fer day camp includes lunch, craft materials, 

and camp itinerary fer the day. 

Please do be aware that your registration is not complete until I receive both your registration form, as well as payment. We have only 10 resident camper spots available for this year's camp, so please don't assume that your spot is held until you've submitted both your registration form as well as your payment. 

Registration AND payment in full due no later than April 1st, 2019. Any registered campers for whom we have not received payment for by April 1, 2019, will forfeit their spot to the waiting list.

And, put it on yer calenders!! Organizing fer our summer camp is underway. I be brewin' up a multi day family witch camp in a secluded location on a river that offers us a glorious swimming spot and a whole lotta forest to get lost in. We'll camp n craft, make magic n food, hike to the tops of mountains, howl to the moon, n come into deeper relationship with our wild n wise ancestors. Look fer these August dates to be confirmed soon and registration to be opened sometime in May.  

Playschool OMSI Day Openings

Looking to enroll in our playschool as a homeschooling supplement or perhaps add another day to yer kiddo's existing playschool schedule?

We have room fer about four more kiddos to join us in our Tuesday friend circle, which meets every Tuesday at OMSI. 

Museum admission is included in yer monthly playschool tuition.

We are opening up pre registration and waiting lists for our 2019-2020 playschool year! If you are a returning family please use this form to confirm that you'll be returning for our next year together.
 We'd sure love to have ya back! 

Please do be mindful that I need all folks intending to join us for 2019-2020 to fill out this form, even if yer a returning family. This will help me know what i'm getting myself into for this next year and how to plan for it all. 

If yer family is new to the Moon's Nest and is looking to join us for yer first year, this is also the form to use to let us know. Once I receive yer intent to enroll notification, I'll follow up with an email and an invite to join me for tea so we can meet and greet. At that point, if it's a good fit, I'll send you the registration forms. Once i get those back, yer spot for 2019-2020 will be confirmed. Okay dears, thanks so much fer yer help with planning our next playschool year!
