We are delighted to announce that Prof Dr Georg Thaller of Kiel University in Germany will be a keynote speaker, bringing us a fascinating overview at the European ReDiverse Project.  Looking at biodiversity within and between European red dairy breeds, this exciting project seeks to develop collaborative and integrated breeding and management practises to maximise the potential of red dairy genetics.

Working beautifully to our event theme of "Bringing Red Breeds Together" the question is asked, "Could ReDiverse become a fully global effort?"

ALL THAT JAZZ!

Mount Gambier is blessed to have the James Morrison Academy of Music in town. This is a university level specialist jazz music degree which has done much to enliven the town's music scene. We're delighted to bring the Mitchell Wilmot Music quartet of senior students to our conference formal dinner for some entertainment to end the night on a high note! Photo supplied via Facebook.

Born to lead.

Brett Davies of Simpson, Victoria comes from a prominent dairy farming family which has produced multiple generations of industry leaders.  Brett is currently serving as a Director of the Australian Red Dairy Breed Ltd, and our full tour will be visiting the Davies' Barley Dew Aussie Red operation.

Along with his wife Bronwyn, they are now running a successful dairy operation calving 260 predominantly red cows.  We will have the opportunity to hear about Brett and Bronwyn's dairy breeding goals on their farm, and how using red dairy cows is helping them to achieve it.  Photo supplied.
