“It is important that we focus on the disparities and address them, yes, but equally as important is our joy. Because we deserve joy, we deserve safe spaces, we deserve to be listened to, and we deserve to be treated and cared for well.” - Tiffany Vassell, RN, NOW May 2023 Webinar Featured Speaker Welcome to the May 2023 edition of the NOW Innovation Forum Newsletter. We are excited to share and announce new opportunities and resources with you this month. We have included resources that explore collective action and advocacy for birth equity and maternal health, like the recording of our May 11 webinar, Healing Through Community Building and Birth Equity Advocacy, and reference material on birth justice through doula care. We hope you will save the date for the upcoming opportunities, including the summer Data Storytelling Workshop Series and our monthly Peer Learning Cluster meetings. Thank you for your commitment to children, families, and communities and for joining us as we journey through another year together. |
