Kids Trout Day

Talk about a great turnout. Our best yet. Had so much fun watching the kids catch trout today. Congrats to the winners on taking some trophies home. Can’t wait to see yinz all for Memorial Day. Thank you to all my volunteers that were a huge help. It's a joy to see these kids catch fish and smile while doing it. Thanks to all our members who donated food and prizes as well as those volunteers who helped with the event.

Special Board Meeting

At a special meeting this Sunday, April 16th, the Bord unanimously accepted the written resignation of Jonathon Slair. The Board was grateful for his service to the Association and wished him their best.

According the By-Laws,

Section 10. Vacancies existing on the Board of Directors for any reason, including an increase in the number of Directors, shall be filled by a vote of the majority of the Directors remaining in office, though less than a quorum. The newly elected Director shall serve during the unexpired term of the Director being replaced. The new Director must be from the same Section of the Campground as the Director being replaced and must meet the same qualifications as those set forth in this Article IV for all Directors.

The President requested that any member from Section C interested in serving on the Board of Directors for the remainder of Jonathon's term (ends September 2024) should submit a letter of intent to the office by Monday, May 1st, 2023. The letter should include (1) a statement indicating interest in serving on the Board of Directors, (2) a description of experience that would be advantageous for a Board position, and (3) anything else the member would like to share.

Candidates must meet the following requirements as per the By-Laws:

Section 2. Any candidate for the Board of Directors nominated by the Nominating Committee or as a write-in candidate must meet the following qualifications:

(i) said candidate must be a member in good standing of the Association as set

forth under Article II of these Bylaws; and

(ii) said candidate may not be a paid employee of the Association.

---------- Reminders From Prior Emails ----------

Assessment Invoices Mailed

Invoices for the Assessment have been mailed out. If you did not receive your invoice, please contact the office at (724) 738-0402.

The assessment is being billed on four separate invoices. The invoices are due June 30, 2023, September 30, 2023, December 31, 2023, and March 31, 2024, respectively. If any invoice is not paid by the due date, a penalty will be applied.

The member has the option of paying $300 quarterly by the invoice due date, paying monthly such that $300 is received by the invoice due date or paying in full at any time. To establish a monthly schedule, it is suggested the first monthly payment be submitted by April 30. The monthly schedule results in a payment of $100 per month for twelve months.

Credit card payments will be accepted by calling the office at (724) 738-0402 during normal business hours. There will be an additional 3% service charge applied to the payment for processing.

The assessment design anticipates every member taking advantage of the quarterly payment schedule, but as previously mentioned, the project schedule and payment schedule are such that the Association may have to draw against a line of credit to meet cash flow requirements. However, the requirement to use the line of credit will be reduced if members make their payment as early as possible. Any payment received prior to the due date will reduce the use of the line of credit.

Oops: A typo appears on the statement in that the due date year for the first three invoices is 2022. It should be 2023. The due dates listed in the Overview of June 30, 2023, September 30, 2023, December 31, 2023 and March 31, 2024 are the correct dates. A sample of the invoice packet can be displayed below.

Keep In Touch

The Association makes every effort to keep you informed. The office sends emails and voicemails periodically to announce time-sentive information. Email blasts, like this one, are generated to give you updates on what's going on, and there is also a Facebook page maintained as just another alternative to keep you in the loop. As a Members Only subscriber on the website, you have access to Association information including Board meeting minutes, financials and other items related to Association management. So if your neighbor is getting notices that you are not, then chances are the information we have on file is not accurate. If you'd like us to check your information, please submit your current information through the Contact Us page on the website with a note to confirm contact information. Be sure to include your lot number.
