Νήσος Αμοργός, Σύλλογος για το Περιβάλλον και τον Πολιτισμό

Ο σύλλογός μας, “Νήσος Αμοργός, σύλλογος για το περιβάλλον και τον πολιτισμό”, έχει τις ρίζες του στη βαθιά και ανιδιοτελή αγάπη μας για το νησί, καθώς και στην αγωνία να προστατευθεί η πολιτιστική του κληρονομιά, το ιδιαίτερο φυσικό του περιβάλλον και το αδιατάρακτο στο πέρασμα των αιώνων κυκλαδίτικο τοπίο του. Ιδρύθηκε το 2021 και αυτή τη στιγμή έχει 75 μέλη, ανθρώπους που είτε έχουν γεννηθεί και ζουν στο νησί, είτε το έχουν επιλέξει σαν πατρίδα τους, ή απλά το αγαπούν και το νοιάζονται.

Τα βασικότερα θέματα, από τα οποία εμπνεόμαστε και γύρω από τα οποία δραστηριοποιούμαστε αφορούν τη βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη στο νησί, τις ΑΠΕ, την προστασία και ανάδειξη των μονοπατιών της Αμοργού, την ανάδειξη των αρχαιολογικών της χώρων, τη συντήρηση των ξερολιθιών, τη διοργάνωση περιβαλλοντικών δράσεων, ενημερωτικών εκδηλώσεων και δράσεων για τον πολιτισμό γενικότερα.

Σήμερα το νησί αντιμετωπίζει πολλές προκλήσεις, πράγμα που μας κάνει να αναρωτιόμαστε πώς μπορεί η οικονομία και η τουριστική προσφορά της Αμοργού να αναπτύσσονται με σεβασμό προς την πολιτιστική κληρονομιά και το φυσικό περιβάλλον της. Υποστηρίζουμε βαθύτατα πως η βιώσιμη προσέγγιση με μακροχρόνιες λύσεις αποτελεί το κλειδί για τον εκσυγχρονισμό του νησιού διατηρώντας και αναδεικνύοντας αυτά που το καθιστούν μοναδικό, δηλαδή την πολιτιστική κληρονομιά του, τους ανθρώπους του και το φυσικό του περιβάλλον.

Είναι ευτύχημα που όλο και περισσότεροι φαίνεται να είναι οι φίλοι της Αμοργού, οι οποίοι διακατέχονται από την λαχτάρα να γνωρίσουν καλύτερα τον τόπο, να τον ζήσουν και να προσφέρουν την ενέργειά τους με ευγένεια και σεβασμό προς όφελος του νησιού.

Για το λόγο αυτό, αποφασίσαμε να δημιουργήσουμε την ομάδα "φίλοι του Νήσος Αμοργός" και για αυτούς τους ανθρώπους, για σας, να ετοιμάζουμε και να στέλνουμε τακτικά ενημερωτικό υλικό που θα αφορά σε νέα του νησιού και του συλλόγου μας, ώστε να κρατάτε ζωντανή την επαφή σας με τον τόπο, αλλά και να δοθεί η ευκαιρία σε όποιον το επιθυμεί, να συμβάλει με τις ιδέες του, τις δράσεις του ή την οικονομική του ενίσχυση.

Αυτό λοιπόν είναι το πρώτο μας newsletter!

Στο μέλλον ευελπιστούμε να το εμπλουτίσουμε και είμαστε ανοιχτοί σε δικές σας ιδέες και προτάσεις.

Our association, “Nisos Amorgos, Association for the Environment and Culture”, is rooted in our deep, unconditional love for the island, as well as in our great concern to protect the cultural heritage of the island, the unique natural environment and the untouched by time Cycladic landscape. Founded in 2021, our association currently consists of 75 members, people who, born and raised here, still live on the island, people who have chosen the island as their home and people who simply love it and care about it.

Our main objectives that inspire us and motivate us to take action, refer to sustainable development, renewable energy sources, the preservation and promotion of the Amorgian trails, the promotion of the archaeological sites, the maintenance of the drystone walling, as well as the organization of environmental actions, informative events and broader cultural initiatives.

Today, the island faces multiple challenges. This makes us wonder about how the local economy and the tourism sector of Amorgos could develop in ways that respect and further protect the cultural heritage and the natural environment of this land. We strongly believe that sustainable approaches that focus on long term solutions pave the way for the modernization of the island, so that we preserve and enhance what makes this place unique˙ namely, the tangible and intangible cultural heritage, the people and the natural environment.

We are fortunate to witness a growing number of people who become ‘friends of Amorgos’ and who are driven by a longing to know the island better, to experience life here and to offer their energy with kindness and respect for the benefit of the island. For this reason, we decided to create the group «Nisos Amorgos friends». For these friends, for you, we will prepare and send a regular newsletter concerning news of the island and our association, so that you stay connected with the island and so that we give the chance to our members to contribute with their ideas, their actions or their financial support.

So, here is our first newsletter! We look forward to expanding our network and enriching our content with your ideas and suggestions.

Notre association, "Nisos Amorgos, association pour l'environnement et la cultur" tire ses racines de notre amour profond et désintéressé pour l'île, ainsi que du souci de protéger son patrimoine culturel, son environnement naturel particulier et son paysage cycladique intact au fil des siècles. Elle a été fondée en 2021 et compte actuellement 75 membres, des personnes qui sont soit nées et vivent sur l'île, soit l'ont choisie comme patrie, soit simplement l'aiment et en prennent soin.

Les principaux enjeux qui nous motivent et autour desquels nous agissons, concernent le développement durable de l'île, les SER, la protection et la valorisation des sentiers d'Amorgos, la valorisation de ses sites archéologiques, la préservation des constructions en pierres sèches, l'organisation d'actions environnementales, d'événements informatifs et d'actions pour la culture en général.

Aujourd'hui, l'île fait face à de nombreux défis, ce qui nous amène à nous demander comment l'économie et l'offre touristique d'Amorgos peuvent être développées dans le respect de son patrimoine culturel et de son environnement naturel. Nous pensons fermement qu'une approche durable avec des solutions sur le long terme est la clé pour moderniser l'île en préservant et en mettant en valeur ce qui la rend unique, à savoir son patrimoine culturel, ses habitants et son environnement naturel. Heureusement, il semblerait que les amis d'Amorgos de plus en plus nombreux, soient animés par le désir de mieux connaître l'endroit, d'y vivre et d'offrir leur énergie avec bienveillance et respect au profit de l'île.

Pour cette raison, nous avons décidé de créer le groupe "amis de l'île d'Amorgos" et pour ces personnes, pour vous, de préparer et d'envoyer régulièrement du matériel informatif qui portera sur l'actualité de l'île et de notre association, afin que vous puissiez entretenir un lien avec le lieu mais aussi de donner la possibilité à qui le souhaite, de contribuer par ses idées, ses actions ou son soutien financier.

Voici donc notre première newsletter ! À l'avenir, nous espérons l'enrichir et nous sommes ouverts à vos propres idées et suggestions.
