Free public transport - yippee!  

 

Auckland Transport will be offering FREE public transport on Friday 18th December from 4pm and all day on Saturday 19th December. 

Ditch the car and take a free ride!

AC36 racing 17 - 20 December  

 

With the first races just days away make sure you know what is planned for Wynyard Quarter.  There will be road closures and areas of restricted access. Some on parking won't be available. You may wish to consider changing your start time at work so you can soak up the vibe after a hard day in the office. Check out the public transport options. Changes to buses in Wynyard Quarter 

 

There are plans to change bus routes, and bus stops in Wynyard Quarter as well as increasing the frequency of some services.  Make sure you know what is happening to your bus services.  

Plan ahead and enjoy the racing!

Changes to ferries 

 

Racing on the Waitemata Harbour will mean some changes, increased travel times or cancellations to some ferry services between Thursday 17th and Sunday 20th December. Check out the link below for more details.

Check out the Race Village

 

Open from 15th December until the end of March (closed Christmas Day only).  The village operates from 9am until 11pm on racing days and from 10am until 10pm on non racing days. On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve opening times slightly differ (24/12 10am - 6 pm, 31/12 10 am until 1/1 at 1 am) . Big screens and official merchandise it is a great place to be part of the action.

Valet parking for bikes and scooters 

 

Free valet bike and e-scooter parking will be available on race days from 2pm to 8pm at the Jellico Street carpark and Hobson Street overbridge. Pop along and staff will look after your bike while you check out the action on the water. Maps of recommended rides, information and support for people on wheels will be available. 

Outside of key race times, bike and e-scooter parking (not a valet service) will still be available..

Auckland at level 1

 

Alert Level 1 means that the disease is contained.  We all must practice good hygiene and keep a track of where we have been.  Download the NZ Covid tracer app on your phone. The app now has Bluetooth capability, so you can be quickly contacted if someone around you has tested positive. The race village will have QR codes, please remember to always sign in. 

All passengers, over 12 years old, must wear face coverings on all public transport.

Keep up to date with AT mobile
