South St. Louis Avenue is buzzing with sounds of Campers. Each morning before Camp Champ even begins, campers are on the sidewalk in front of Westlawn Gospel Chapel singing, chanting, skipping rope, talking and laughing while they wait for camp to begin. Our day is then filled with enriching experiences centered around this year's theme,

"God is Faithful".

We are exploring inspiring Bible stories that highlight God's faithfulness.

Each week we leave St. Louis Avenue and explore different things in Chicago. We have already gone and learned what it means to be a Nurse and an American Sign Language Interpreter. We even learned how to sign our Camp Champ theme song! This week we get to go to a water park, we are so thankful because its hot in Chicago!!

A big part of our summer day camp is our scholarship leaders training program. Teenagers and young adults go through an interview process and training just like a regular job. Most have been campers in our Camp Champ program. What a privilege it is to help develop young people into leaders.
