Dear Southlake Neighbors,

 

Thanks to those of you who noticed that we have a week problem in the newly open areas of Southlake Parkway. Our landscaping company, SpyGrass will be treating the problem areas over next few weeks so the problem should be corrected soon. If it isn’t let us know and we’ll keep working on it until it’s fixed for the summer.

 

The City of Hoover has a new citywide beautification committee. The mission of the Hoover Beautification Board is to inspire and empower Hoover citizens to take greater responsibility for their environment. A primary function of the Board is planning and executing programs that educate, encourage and support local citizens and businesses in the continued beautification of our city.  The Board’s 20, volunteer members are each appointed by the Mayor. We would love to have as many Southlake residents as possible on the committee. Apply below.

 
Apply for The Hoover Beautifation Board

Many of our lake residents have noticed that some of the docks (and some boats) are in poor condition. Over the next few weeks CMA will be sending letters to property owners who need to repair their docks. If you receive a letter CMA will be happy to work with you to determine the best way to make your dock an asset for our lakes.

Thanks to the Crest residents who recently participated in a community workday to clean-up and maintain the pavilion area on South Lake. The pavilion helps to make Southlake more accessible for Crest and Townhomes residents.

When it is hot many residents take advantage of our more comfortable evening hours to walk along Southlake Parkway and Lake Valley Dr. If you are a walker (or jogger) please remember to wear reflective clothing so that auto traffic will be able to see you. If you drive on these streets remember to watch out for your friends and neighbors.
