Happy July!
This month's newsletter is going out a bit late. We had a dramatic thunderstorm on Wednesday evening here in Vermont and lost power for much of the night and yesterday morning. I was getting ready for my virtual author event when the storm hit and the internet went dark. Luckily, I was able to find a place with power so I could sign and I had a wonderful conversation with author friend Paul Doiron about A Distant Grave and his new book Dead by Dawn.
Thank you to everyone who has made the publication of A Distant Grave so much fun! I've loved seeing familiar and not-so-familiar faces at my virtual author events. I'll be doing some more over the next couple of weeks. Find all the details here.
Enjoy whatever things make July July for you. Here, we'll be harvesting blueberries soon (see one of my favorite recipes below) and trying to stay cool with dips in our nearby swimming hole. I'll also be working on the revision of the third Maggie D'arcy mystery and catching up on my reading. Let me know if you've read anything great recently!
