The 4-H PEI AGM & Awards Banquet was held February 23rd and was a great success.  It was wonderful to see so many members and leaders out for both the AGM and banquet.   As an update - there were 4 resolutions that were presented at the meeting - 3 of which passed (those related to 5 districts becoming 3 regions as of September 1, 2019.)  The 4th was related to Rural Youth Fair (RYF).  An amendment to the motion was made and passed which stated that the 2019 show would be canceled and that a working group would be established to review the current event and explore options for future operations.  The group will provide recommendations to the Board of Directors.   There was also a motion from the floor to form a working group to review the current funding reduction from 4-H Canada and to explore possibilities of how this funding was awarded as well as other funding opportunities.  Both of these committees have been formed and will begin work shortly!  Thank you to all of those who put their names forward.

It was a great day celebrating past achievements and great conversation to take steps forward to ensure the organization is strong and sustainable for years to come.  Thank you to all those who were able to attend.  If you'd like more information on any of the happenings, please don't hesitate to ask your club voting delegates!

Reminder - The Achievement Day Completion Deadline is July 20th. Overall leaders must book their Achievement Day date with their District Specialist.
