AGM Wednesday, 14 February 2018, 7 pm

Meet and Greet from 6.30 pm

Jim Cavanagh, Joe Morris & Leigh Morris are standing down from Te Puke Rep Committee. They will not seek re-election at the 2018 AGM and we would like to provide plenty of advance notice to all people who feel they could offer a role in the management and development of the Te Puke Repertory Society.  We are looking for new committee members to create a dynamic and cohesive management group.

The Committee would like to acknowledge the service and dedication that all three have provided over the years they have been involved in the Theatre.

Jim Cavanagh was the President for 3 years and was instrumental in the renovation and upgrade of many areas of the theatre. As President he was always passionate about the vitality of theatre and dedicated 110% to creating an exciting environment. If Jim was not on stage, he was directing plays, working back stage and doing set construction or front of house. He was tireless in his efforts and contribution to the Theatre.

Joe Morris is our Treasurer and has been for 3 years. She has always done an outstanding job, handling all new memberships, producing financial reports and managing all payments and collections. Whilst Joe was not one to be on the stage she offered many of her talents in other ways. Her beautiful quilts have been raffled as additional fund raising efforts. Joe was also responsible for the newsletter for some time.

Leigh Morris is our Health and Safety Officer and over the years his attention to detail has lead to more robust systems and accountable health and safety procedures. Leigh was also involved with the renovations carried out over the 3 years he was on the Committee. His knowledge of Lighting and Sound was always invaluable and Leigh has spent many, many hours in the lighting box attending to every detail so that performances went seamlessly.

During the AGM there will be discussion regarding proposed changes to the Constitution.  The Society has been active for 65 years and the changes proposed are designed to make the Constitution more user friendly.

Payment of MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION 2018 is due after February AGM.

There will be a reminder for subs in each newsletter until April but it is up to you to make the payment. Being a paid up member has so many more advantages.
