Green trees and blue skies

And suddenly it's winter.. how did that happen? I'm appreciating the Sydney blue skies and admiring the low winter sunlight filtered by spotted gums.

A current project has had me looking at the macro and micro of our natural surroundings. I've been working with ceramicist Helen Earl, in preparation for an exhibition at Saint Cloche Gallery, Paddington. During the collaborative process where we spent time together finding common ground around a theme of green, Helen's impressive knowledge and experience, as well as her beautiful acreage and garden proffered endless stimulus and material for us. Foraging and exploring in the understory, there was plenty of inspiration to be incorporated in our designs, and we hope we've created something that presents the elements and essence of the garden.

Everyone is welcome at the opening this Wednesday night at 6pm, with guest speaker Vicki Grima. Common Ground features the work of three collaborative pairs in total: Helen and I, Evi O and Milly Dent, and Agatha Pupaher and Joanna Cole. You can read more about the project here.

And in case something sounds familiar, yes  - I somehow found myself in two exhibitions with the same name in the same year :)

Thank you for your continued interest and support
