Fundraiser Tournament
On May 11-14, GBA will host a very special tournament at Magee Field, with all proceeds benefitting GBA player Matthew Mock's fight against Hodgkin's Lymphoma. 15U games will be held Thursday evening and all day Saturday. 18U games will be held Friday evening and all day Sunday. There will be lots of raffles and baskets, as well as food (including a food truck on the weekend). Thank you to all our raffle donors and everyone involved with the tournament. FAMILY DAY Join GBA on Saturday, May 13th at Hammer Field for another full day of games, and a celebration of our favorite fans. All siblings of GBA players get a free entry for our special $50 Pop Stand gift certificate raffle, bring your camera and take a family portrait with our beautiful field as your backdrop, and get ready to thank all our GBA Moms! AED GRANT
UPMC Charitable Giving Committee has granted GBA a $5000 sponsorship donation towards the purchase of three AEDs which will be placed at our Gladstone, Hammer, and Magee Fields! We are very thankful to UPMC for this incredible donation, and to Senator Jay Costa for facilitating the request. GBA will provide coaches a first aid/AED training session, date TBA.

POP STAND DUTIESIt is essential that each team fulfills its pop stand duties. This is our primary fundraiser and participation is important. Each team is assigned a week to run the Pop Stand, and shifts are available to sign up on two Sign-Up Genius forms. Please check with your coach for any questions and sign-up asap. | | |

POP STAND MENU There are several new additions to the Pop Stand menu this year...including changing specials! Huge thanks to everyone who worked so hard to get the Pop Stand cleaned, painted, and well-stocked. The menu is available to review online, and changing specials will be posted on game days, so be sure to check for those. There are games at Hammer Monday-Friday at 6pm and all day Saturday. Sunday games vary depend on make-ups. | | |

CALENDAR Game schedules are listed by age group on our website, and there is also a master Google calendar. Please always confirm your game times with your individual coach. We will try to update as often as possible following rain delays, etc., but please check with your coach with questions. | | |

ANNOUNCEMENTS Please label your child's gear. We are finding lots of items left up at Hammer Field. There is a lost and found box in the pod (just ask at the Pop Stand to search through it.) Umpires are in high demand. Please help GBA secure quality umpires by making our field a welcoming and respectful environment for them. Do you have a graduating senior playing for GBA this year? Email us and we will add the good news to our next online newsletter. Save the Date for All-Star Day! This year, the festivities will be on Saturday, June 10th. GBA will be taking photos this season to share on our pages. If you do NOT want photos of your child/player to be posted online, contact us and we will create a do not post list.
