Schools, Students, and Education, 88th TX Legislative Session

Summary: School choice is the political battleground this week in the 88th Texas Legislature. The Senate voted for school choice, the House voted against. / State civics is an integral part of Willow Park civics and of Willow Park Civics. Willow Park Civics is providing a blog of articles on specific legislative topics, during the 88th Texas Legislative Session.

Texas leads U.S. with fastest economic expansion

Summary: "Texas continues to lead the U.S. with the fastest economic expansion, according to new data released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. New City Hall: Update - Debt

Summary: No longer the interim lease of a suite, the City of Willow Park is purchasing the entire building at 120 El Chico Trail. Currently the city is working on funding of $8,500,000* for the purchase. The new El Chico City Hall will be over six (6) times larger than the old Ranch House Road City Hall and will house all city departments.

WP Emergency Warning Systems

Summary: Wednesday, 05 April, 2023, and on the first Wednesday of every month, the Willow Park Fire Department conducts a full test of the Willow Park outdoor siren warning system. At 1 p.m. you may hear about three (3) minutes of siren noise during the test.
