National Volunteer Week:

April 18th - 24th 2021 

This theme of this year's 'National Volunteer Week' is: The Value of One, The Power of Many, which "reflects on the awe-inspiring acts of kindness by millions of individuals AND the magic that happens when we work together towards a common purpose". 

As you may know, opening a retail store is no easy feat. However, through the assistance of some wonderful people in our community, creating our beautiful new retail space was a wonderful experience. We would like to extend a BIG thank you to everyone who volunteered to help us open out retail studio, as well as to our weekly in-store volunteers, Margaret and Roxanne. You ladies are the bomb!

Fashion Revolution Week:

April 19th - 25th 2021 

Fashion Revolution Week is a time for members of the global fashion community to work towards a better and more ethical fashion industry. The date is chosen in commemoration of the anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory collapse, which killed 1,138 people on 24 April 2013.

This year's event is focusing on the interconnectedness of human rights and the rights of nature. The Fashion Revolution campaign will amplify unheard voices across the fashion supply chain and harness the creativity of our community to explore innovative and interconnected solutions. Spring Scarf Feature: 

Pictured is our wonderful Marigold Collective model, Shannon wearing our 'Hue' scarf in Italian Plum, from our Vietnam Collection.  

Scarves from our Vietnam collection are made in collaboration with a Fair Trade Women's Cooperative east of Hanoi, Vietnam. Our scarves are handcrafted using natural fibres such as locally farmed silk, and coloured with safe dye ingredients - helping protect their environment and water sources.

The Bee's Knees was founded in 2017 and is located on Water St, in beautiful St. John's, Newfoundland.

Their earth-friendly store provide ethically sourced, handmade, locally sourced, fair trade, organic, up-cycled and recycled goods!
