2020 will go down in history as a year of infamy… for COVID, George Floyd, Presidential election, etc. With those events, and all of their restrictions and social and economic implications in mind, we were still able to accomplish several key things as an association. Check out some of them below... |

|
STRATEGIC VISIONING The Lake and Park as a Hub for surrounding Neighborhoods - Despite COVID restrictions the Board, with the assistance of Bickford Collaboration, was still able to meet several times, outdoors and online via Zoom, to initiate some thoughts on how to involve other stakeholders in 2021 to envisage the future of Lily Lake and its surrounding area, and possibly become a hub for the neighborhood.

OUR WATER QUALITY IMPROVEMENTS Greeley Street & Lily Lake Park Interceptor Pond - The Association collaborated with the Middle St Croix Watershed Management Organization, and the City of Stillwater, to advocate for funding of the Interceptor Pond. This ‘device’ will hopefully reduce the amount of stormwater runoff from Greeley Street (with its associated phosphorus) to a level that will enable Lily Lake to be removed from the State of Minnesota’s Impaired Waters List.

OUR NEW WEBSITE Communication Central - Nudged by Google's proposed 2021 upgrade of our former free website, and with the assistance of Kelsey Depew (freelance web developer) we shifted to a new WiX platform through which we hope to communicate all things relevent to Lily Lake and its surrounding area in the near future.
