Successful Fundraising and Awareness Events |
|
|
On the same weekend, 24th and 25th May 2024, our organisational members Malaysian Association of Paediatric Palliative Care (MAPPAC) and Palliative Care Association Kota Kinabalu (PCA KK) successfully organised fundraising activities for their associations. PCA KK held an Annual Charity Dinner and Show at The Magellan Sutera, Grand Ballroom. MAPPAC held their Annual Charity Bazaar at Pusat Kreatif Kanak-Kanak Tuanku Bainun. The events were attended by Deputy Chief Minister III Datuk Shahelmey Yahya, who represented the Chief Minister of Sabah and YB Pn Hannah Yeoh, the current Minister of Youth and Sports who is also the MP for Segambut respectively. Thank you to everyone who helped made these events a success! |

The event was attended by YB Daniel Gooi (Penang State Executive Council Youth, Sports and Health), who also flagged of the runners for the day. Our organisational member, YOKUK has also been organising large-scale events to solidify the presence of palliative care in Kelantan and bringing the awareness nationwide. They have successfully organised the 2024 East Coast Palliative Care Conference from 15th-16th May 2024. This cutting edge hybrid conference brought speakers from local and international setting allowing participants to join either physically or from the comfort of their respective place of practice. On 29th May 2024, they celebrated their 25 Year Anniversary by launching a book entitled, Building A Caring Society by Designing Joy at Sime Darby Convention Centre. The event and the book was officiated by YB Dato' Seri Hajah Nancy Shukri, Minister of Women, Family and Community Development of Malaysia |

The Malaysian Hospice Council Congress 2024 is Still Open for Registration |

The National Cancer Society Malaysia - Sarawak Branch and MHPCC are excited to announce the return of our biennial Congress to physical form. This year, as has been long awaited, the Congress will be held in Sibu, Sarawak. Almost 500 participants have registered so far with local and international delegates! Venue: Kingwood Hotel, Sibu Date: 25th - 27th July 2024 Our Congress will be attended by key figures from all around the world. Dr. Frank Ferris from American Society of Clinical Oncology will be giving a keynote address on the theme and the esteemed Dr. M.R.
