Winter is officially here, but that hasn't stopped us getting together to visit woodlands, to speak at events, and to get creative in all our projects.
💫South London Citizens Healthcare Assembly💫
It felt amazing to be part of the power in the room at the South London Citizens Healthcare Assembly. We were given the opportunity to celebrate our campaign win to provide wifi for families living in temporary accommodation in Greenwich.
This win is the fruit of collaboration with Greenwich Council. It shows the power of decision makers and community leaders working together. We gifted our banner to Councillor Anthony Okereke to show the change that happens with collaboration!
We are determined to keep working in this way on fair eviction notice periods through our #NoticeUs campaign.
🙌 Wifi Pilot 🙌
Our achievements were then recognised and featured in the latest issue of Greenwich Info.
The council is now in the process of gathering feedback from the pilot project, and once they have collated everything our Stronger Together Leaders will meet with them again to discuss the findings and work on the next steps.

Near Neighbours has had a transformative effect on Creating Ground, helping us to grow as an organisation.
We're very proud to see our work on 'Building power and resilience through creative skills' featured in their latest impact report.
We really enjoyed being at theHomeStart GreenwichFamily Hub Launch at the Brookhill Children and Community Centre presenting all our current and future projects.
We look forward to welcoming more migrant women to our activities and collaborating more with everyone we met on the day.
We are also very grateful to the centre for hosting our weekly dance sessions this term.
🍂 Woodland Nature Trip🍂
"It was really amazing, you cannot imagine how it was!"
We had a wonderful time visiting Westcombe Woodlands with local historian Rich Sylvester, who has been facilitating our history project this term.
At the Woodlands we were able to get deep into nature, going for walks, doing crafts outdoors and making flatbreads around a campfire. We are already planning our next visit.
