I've loved reading the Amazon reviews of The Podcast Chronicles. One person called it a "coming of age" story - and it is a new twist on this. Sue Cleary, the main character, was an ambitious business executive who became a stay-at-home mom. Now that the kids are leaving, she wonders what's next. As one reader says: "When I read this book, it was like she was mirroring my feelings, about life, about kids, about marriage, about it all. and I was just THERE." Below are additional comments from readers. |

If you've read my books, you know that I love talking about food. Whether it's the pizza in The Podcast Chronicles or Mexican food in Tequila Midnight, what characters' eat is part of who they are. I thought it would be fun to share recipes this holiday season. Below is my Grandmother O'Neill's recipe for one of my favorite childhood treats, pecan tartlets. |
Crust 3 ounces cream cheese 1 cup flour 1 stick butter Mix ingredients together and chill for one hour (or put in freezer for half an hour if you're in a hurry). |
Filling 3/4 cup brown sugar 1 egg 1 tablespoon melted butter 1 teaspoon vanilla pecans Blend all ingredients but pecans. |
Press chilled dough into miniature muffin pans, add filling, and top with pecans. Bake at 325 degrees for twenty minutes. Makes twenty-four pecan tartlets. If you have a special recipe you'd like to share with readers, send it to me and I'll pick several to share over the next few weeks. Email me at kathryn@kathryndodson.com. If I choose your recipe to share, I'll send you a signed copy of The Podcast Chronicles. |
